Dashboards allow managers/owners to obtain a very quick headsup view on the company performance. Dashboards are visual indicators of the business KPIs. In their simplest form, these can be a Red/Amber/Green light for a part of the business you are monitoring ( e.g. sales per day ). So when the sales drop below a certain level the dashboard indicator will show RED. The dashboard can also provide trend analysis and pro-actively warn based on certain conditions. For example, if sales are dropping at 10% per month for more than 2 months consecutively, email the manager of the department and senior management.

When your dashboard is web enabled, you can monitor your company from anywhere with an internet connection (including your mobile phone!)
